We were part of a Battlefields tour with Leger Holidays and had about 45 minutes to get a meal in Limoges. Across the road from where our coach stopped was Le Churchill, so, as it was very close, we decided to eat there.
The menu was comprehensive, but we only had a short time, so we ordered a couple of very basic starters and some wine. The wine was excellent and the starters came within minutes. I had “eggs mayonnaise” with local produce. Delicious.
Then the restaurateur, Marianne Ladant, arrived. She spoke to everyone there and then took her place at the piano and entertained us with National Anthems and Beatles songs.
A really enjoyable lunchtime and a place I shall revisit if ever in Limoges again. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant.
