Lansdowne View is an AirBnb property, which is located right on the seafront at Weymouth and is part of the Georgian Esplanade. The flat we stayed in was Flat No,5 on the top floor and the views were amazing. The only problem was that being an old property there was no lift and six flights of stairs!
The flat itself was fitted out to a high standard. There was a living room/kitchen with all the latest TV and Wi-Fi, plus a well-equipped kitchen. There was a twin bedroom and family bathroom on that floor and a further master bedroom with ensuite up another small staircase.
There was free parking at the rear of the property, but it was only a very small space. However, this was not a problem as there was alternative free parking nearby in a public car park with the pass provided. We mostly used public transport while we were in Weymouth. It was a short walk to the railway station. It was also handy for the local buses. We were able to explore the surrounding area by using our bus passes and there was a cheap fare for my daughter. The great thing about these buses was that they were open top for all the fantastic views and the drivers were really friendly.
The beach was just across the road and my daughter enjoyed swimming in the sea. There were bars and restaurants within easy reach and a small shop just around the corner.
I would recommend this flat as a great place to stay as long as you don’t mind all the stairs!
