It was a lovely afternoon in December spent watching tankards, and red foxes being created in glass in front of our eyes. My father in his wheelchair could easily watch up close, and enjoyed watching the skill of the 2 men creating handmade crystal – they made it look so easy but working with red hot molten glass must take some training!
You could buy all the glassware in the gift shop, and I purchased some Christmas presents while there – a lovely vase with lots of different swirls of coloured glass.
We had lunch in the restaurant and the cakes were delicious – very reasonable too. The shop and restaurant area are open every day, but if you wish to see the glass making which I strongly recommend for a small charge then you should visit Monday to Friday.
A good all weather attraction for the winter time!
