Just returned from a 3 week stay in Lagos – very busy in August but still plenty of space on the beaches if you know where to look. plenty of lovely restaurants – go off piste a little to find the quieter ones away from the main streets.
Excellent value at the moment with the rate of exchange. Bus and train services are very good if hiring a car is not your thing. Taxis are also very reasonable and don’t charge extra late at night.
There are many bars for the youngsters but also quite a few where the more mature can enjoy a quieter drink if they so desire.
Can’t wait to return, whatever the time of year there is something there for everyone. The more active can go out deep sea fishing or scuba diving or you can simply amble along the Avenida or sit at a pavement cafe enjoying a glass of Vinho Verde and watching the world go by.
Several small hotels or accommodation can easily be found on Holiday Lettings style websites.
