La Piccola is a new Italian restaurant in Aberdare, and it’s sorely needed! There’s not a lot of places here where you can have a reaaly good quality meal out for a special occasion.

We went as group of four and can recommend the risotto, lasagne, pizza and most of all the lamb shank – literally falling off the bone! we had red wine (Montelpuciano), White wine (Frascati) both by the bottle, one brandy and two glasses of a very nice dessert wine. The starter of mixed cold meats was delicious and enough to share. Home-made pannacotta went down a treat to finish. The food was fabulous and for a total of £120 well worth it for a treat!
