Having stayed there numerous times over the last 20 years, I cannot find one fault with this beautiful place. It really is a the epitomy of a desert ssland holiday. Most gorgeous rooms are just steps from the waters edge and its powder sand beach. There are several different restaurants scattered unbelievably on such a small place, including the main restaurant which serves incredible buffet meals, a coffee shop, Chinese, Indian, Lebanese, Italian, Japanese restaurants and an ocean grill which affords beautiful views of the sealife with small sharks swimming by! Here you can also have the most fabulous champagne breakfast if you so wish. The hotel also arranges private dinners on the beach outside your room which is the most romantic experience to try.The bar is a relaxing place to sample the most amazing cocktails before dinner or you can chill at the Sand Bar with a cool beer and listen to a live jazz duo beside a bonfire. The spa on the Island is truly a place to unwind throughout yout holiday, I have left on several occasions feeling that I was floating back to our room. The leisure facilities are second to none with a PADI dive school and watersports centre, tennis courts and games centre. There are also two swimming pools on the Island not that you need them because the warm sea is crystal clear and inside the reef barrier provides a safe, shallow swimming environment. Some of my favourite activities are snorkelling around the house reef look at the myriad of sealife and rainbow fish. Yes Nemo does live here! I also love just sitting in the water just outside our room with a fresh coconut which the staff have taken from the palm trees or maybe a fresh fruit kebab which they bring to you. The rooms are all amazing with several different categories available with oustside bathrooms set in a small garden area and rainshowers. If only the weather in the UK would allow such a luxury! However, I think that what makes this place so unique and special is the attention to detail, not just the big details but the very small ones too.The staff are always smiling, nothing is too much trouble, there are numerous personal touches they add to your stay. If you wish to venture further afield there are numerous trips and experiences to do. My all time favourite being a sunset dolphin spotting boat trip with champagne of course! Above all else we feel privileged to have made many special friends over the years with the staff, they are what makes this island somewhere to return to year after year, but whether you are going for the first time or as a repeat guest the welcome is always the same.
