Relaxation

Decided on a last minute break, searched Ryanair and took their first flight of the season to Kos in Greece. We stayed at the Kosta Palace Hotel actually on the harbour. The room was spacious and clean, everything a hotel room should be but the view was fabulous. We overlooked the harbour and Kos Castle. The hotel has a lovely large terrace, so if your room doesn't happen to overlook the harbour the terrace is a wonderful place to sit and wile away the hours. From the fishermen setting off to catch the fish in the evening to them setting up their stalls to sell first thing in the morning. The harbour is a bustling, lively place. You are actually right in the town itself so the restaurants, cafes etc are all very close to hand, no hills to climb. The hotel staff are friendly, the breakfast buffet style was more than acceptable and the drink prices were actually cheaper than in the town. The castle is beautiful at night all lit up. A super 4* hotel in a fantastic position couldnt ask for more.
