We stayed in Ubud after our 6 night boat trip around Indonesia’s islands – we had left Bali and travelled along to Flores, visiting the boat builders of Wera and the Komodo dragons en route! Then flew back to Bali and travelled to Ubud for a couple of days rest before returning home. The visit was at the beginning of their season so there were very few staying at the hotel. The staff could not do enough for us and we felt sorry for them when we were the only people in the restaurant for the evening meal – they had gone to so much trouble – they also did an inclusive free after noon ‘tea’!
