Went for Kok Chang as I'd read good reviews of previous guests & heard the elephants are well cared for. I also wanted to do just this event & lots of other tours bundled other activities I didn't want to do. Kok Chang was quite close to us in Kata Noi so we arranged for the complimentatry pick up. Nice car & driver – on time. Chose the 50 min tour & had a nice relaxed start in our own time. Thoroughly enjoyed the trip up to the top on the seat strapped to the elephants back, then my wife & I took turns having photos taken on the elephants neck, against the backdrop of great views. She stayed on the elephants neck all the way down, with our Mahout snapping away with our camera & getting some great shots. Fed our elephant some bananas after her wash & then a cool drink (couldn't believe how cheap the drinks were) at the bar (after a quick look at the gibbons). Taken back to the hotel when we were ready. All done at a comfortable pace, with friendly staff & an exciting experience (coming down is quite steep but the elephants are very sure footed). Highly recommended.
