Killerton is the most delightful National Trust property that we have visited. In magnificent parkland with many paths suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs. Other slightly more challenging paths and longer walks for those wanting more activity. House and parkland set in wonderful scenery with panoramic views. Many benches in quiet places to sit and stare. House has the most informal atmosphere of any NT properties I have visited. Few toys by fire and settees to relax in. Piano and Organ visitors are welcome to play – however badly! Very helpful volunteers who are very willing to share the very recent history of how the house was used during the war. Frequent activity days for children. Restaurant heavily meat biased, which I felt a shame, but all local produce.
