We stayed near Keswick for a friend’s wedding in August and managed to spend a couple of days very pleasant wandering in this lovely little town.
It has to be one of the most (if not the most) dog friendly places in our so-called animal friendly country. Everywhere we went well-behaved dogs were most welcome, whether it was a shop/coffee shop/restaurant, and everyone seemed happy to welcome us in.
The local people were very friendly, and the price to eat out was really good value and lovely food wherever we went.
Of course, there is the amazing local scenery to enjoy, and even if it rained it was still pretty spectacular. This place is a must for walkers of all kinds, and I cannot recommend it highly enough.
