Located in Kearsney, a small village just a stone’s throw from the iconic town of Dover in Kent, Kearsney Abbey offers everything you need for a wonderful family day in the park.
The newly renovated cafe is set in these beautiful surroundings and overlooks the lake which is festooned with a variety of ducks and swans. A dedicated children’s play area encourages the little ones to let off steam and the spacious parkland offers itself to picnics and family games. Follow the river down stream and you come to cascading waterfalls. Keep your eyes alert and you may well spot a heron or kingfisher lurking here.
If more formal gardens are your forte then just cross the road leading to Folkestone and you are in Russel gardens with its majestic bridges spanning the waterways.
Parking at Kearsney Abbey is free at the moment and toilet facilities are available in both parks.
