Despite being told when booking the flight that everything would be the same as any other BA flight – this leg, operated for BA by ‘Jettime’ (a Danish airline) – didn’t have the same cabin baggage policy as normal on a London-Glasgow BA flight. When we got to the boarding gate (boarding by bus, which does happen!) – our cabin wheely-bags were tagged and taken from us at the foot of the aircraft steps. Then, once aboard, we could see that other passengers were there with their own wheely-bag in the overhead lockers. I did have a small (under the seat) bag in addition, but the guy in front of me had a relatively small wheely cabin bag and nothing else.
The inflight meal was the same as any other domestic BA morning flight, and the cabin crew were efficient and cheerful – so the low marking of 3 is for the confusing approach by BA boarding staff, not for the flight crew.
