For a short winterbreak not too far from home (if you live in London or the South-East) this is hard to beat, with its heated indoor pool and spa, sea views, spacious rooms ( some with period furniture) and welcoming bars and lounges. Car parking is close to the entrance.
There are usually reduced prices in the winter period, currently with an 'internet only' lower price for breakfast, so don't book the 'room with breakfast' option, just the 'room only' and the breakfast offer will pop up. You can choose continental buffet style or full English, freshly cooked to order.
There is a golf course next door, but if you just want a good, bracing walk turn right along the prom and you'll come to cafes and restaurants within 15 -20 minutes.
