Hrempis Farm is a Georgian house set in the Leicestershire countryside. The downstairs rooms are large and full of antique furniture and paintings; both the drawing room and dining room have large and warm log fires. There are two suites of rooms available: one with a Georgian four-poster bed, separate shower and toilet and a small sitting room. The other suite of rooms consists of a smal library, separate bath with shower over and a double room. The host, Nicki, is lovely: friendly, helpful and a great cook. The breakfasts are some of the best we have ever had with a wide range of cereals, including porridge and home-made muesli, an extensive choice of cooked goodies, lovely bread and croissants with homemade preserves and marmalade. We were greeted with a choice of teas and homemade cakes. Nicki will also provide an evening meal if given notice. We had two delicious meals in the dining room – a perfect setting. We are returning in August and I am sure that this will be a regular destination for us for short breaks.
