Dijon, the capital of Burgundy, is well worth a visit with several interesting buildings and museums including the Palais des Ducs et des Etats de Borgogne at the end of Rue de la Liberté, the pedestrianised shopping street which connects the Place Darcy to the Place de la Libération. The Hotel Victor Hugo is within easy walking distance from bus or railway station and not far from Darcy Gardens and the city center. It is a very good budget hotel, clean and friendly, but without a lift if you have mobility problems.
