Hotel Praia Sol

A small hotel which gives you a HUGE welcome! Having only approximately 40 bedrooms, this family run hotel might only be credited with 3* but in every way it deserves 5*. The small amount of staff are all fantastic and really work their socks off, none having specific jobs, they all do everything and work extremely long hours but are always happy, smiling, friendly and above all, helpful and nothing is too much trouble for any of them. Located only ten minutes walk from the main promenade of Quarteira, it is tucked in a mainly residential area, so is not affected by any noise. There is evening entertainment at least a couple of times a week. A comfortable garden, which is enhanced by a nice swimming pool. Freshly cooked food is available all day and evening meals are always filling with the menus changed daily. Through the back gate, you are no more than five minutes from Vilamoura Marina with all that has to offer. Would I recommend this place, you bet! We have always said we only go to a place once, then move on but this little gem has a magnet that draws us back time and time again and each year we are met and greeted like old friends, not just by the staff but also by all the many returning guests whose fondness for this great hotel is equal to ours. Let Rui and staff have the opportunity to meet and greet you and I feel sure, you will come back home feeling refreshed and ready to book up for your second, third and further visits to this little gem of a hotel.
