This hotel, which is still in the original owner's hands, has recently been refurbished and offers an ideal location for touring, shopping or business in Milan. Bedrooms are spacious and provide two armchairs (a rarety even in double rooms in most hotels), comfortable firm beds, flat screen t.v. with Sky, internet access and wifi (at additional cost). Air conditioning in rooms is timed. Plenty of lighting in room. Good large bathroom with screened off w.c./bidet area. Minimal toiletries.
A good selection for buffet breakfast, but mostly sweet items.
Comfortable lounge area. Large underground secure parking (extra cost).
Walking distance to large shopping area at Loreto and Metro for all main sites without changes.
Three good restaurants serving food at really reasonable prices on same street as hotel. Moulin Rouge served excellent Italian food even though Chef was Chinese. Many take aways also in area. Hotel also offers apartment accommodation for longer stays.
Ask for rooms on interior with a window for quietness. Some singles are without windows.
The old fashioned part is that they still use the thin cotton towels so beloved of travellers to Italy 40 years ago and rock hard pillows.!
