Last year my husband and I spent two weeks on the quiet, unspoiled Greek Island of Tilos. We enjoyed it so much, we intend to revisit it. Hotel Eleni Beach is right on the beach promenade, a quiet pedestrianised walkway. Livadia beach is pebbled with a little sand, the sea is safe, and sun loungers on the beach are provided by the hotel. Breakfast is included, lunch and snacks are available to buy throughout the day, and there is a selection of excellent tavernas etc within a few minutes walk. The hotel is immaculately clean, and the owners go out of the way to ensure that everyone enjoys their holidays to the full. Rooms, bathrooms, and balconies are large, and well equipped. Tilos is an excellent island for walkers and nature lovers of all ages. However, anyone expecting a lively night scene would be disappointed, though there is a "club" in the middle of the island, in the middle of nowhere. There is no doubt that Greece has problems, but on this island you would not be aware of it. Roll on summer!
