Our holiday was bought for us by our daughter. We didn’t know what to expect from Hotel Audran in Paris. It was situated in the area of Montmatre not far from Sacre Coeur. After an easy, inexpensive train ride from the Charles de Gaulle airport to Guard du Nord we left the station. In order to get to the hotel easily we decided to take a taxi. This was a short ride right to the door at a cost of 7 euros. We were greeted at the Hotel by a very friendly receptionist. He booked us in and we were offered the option of breakfast for 6 euros per day. This was certainly an option for us. The en suite room was clean and tidy and very comfortable. It was situated at the rear of the hotel and although there was no view it was quieter than being at the front. We had a problem with the tv but this was fixed immediately. The room was cleaned, towels and toiletries renewed daily, usually while we were downstairs having breakfast. The breakfast consisted of orange juice, tea or coffee, a small baguette, croissant, jam, Nutellla, cheese triangle and a small pot of yogurt. It was just enough to start the day. We felt very looked after and welcome. The hotel is very accessible for the Montmatre area of Paris and there is a metro close by making it easy to get to all the sites of interest around Paris. We walked for miles and this gave us more of a chance to explore. I would certainly recommend Hotel Audran for it’s friendliness, situation and cleanliness and would certainly stay there again in the future.
