My husband and i recently spent a weekend break with friends at a warners resort, holme lacey. This was our first foray into warners holidays although we are frequent cruisers and we though this may be slightly similar albeit it was a landbased holiday.
The check in process was extremely efficient and we were soon in our room which i have to say was very well appointed, we had upgraded to a signature room on our friend's recommendation. The facilities were excellent and the room very spacious.
We quickly went down and made our choice of dining room and once allocated a table that is your table for the length of your stay. The choice of menu was quite good but i do not like the self service aspect of eating when you are paying quite a lot for your stay.
To get the most out of this type of holiday you need to participate in some of the activities on offer, our choices ranged from putting, bowls, billiards, pilates etc. In the evening there are also shows and dancing to see you through to bedtime.
At the end of the day this type of holiday is somewhere in between a cruise and a holiday camp and you need to be a joiner in to get the most out of your stay.
Would i do this again…. Possibly, the jury is still out.
