We use this hotel often, although called the Royal Mile hotel it is really in the Cowgate, however if you are reasonable fit you can walk up to Princes Street and get to all the theatres. The rooms are bright and clean and you get a complimentary help yourself breakfast. Usually about £70 per room but beware of Festival time and large rugby matches as the prices soar.
