Lovely scenic location up in the hills by the Crags and very handy for Birds of Eden and the other tourist sites nearby.
Very friendly and attentive staff, meal time was a treat sat around big tables with other guests although you had the option of your own table if you didn’t feel sociable.
Food and wine was first class and slightly more expensive than others in South Africa but still cheap by UK prices.
Great watching the monkeys trying to steal the food at breakfast at every opportunity.
Never used the pool area although noticed it wasn’t heated which appears to be a common theme in South Africa. Room was delightful with it’s own balcony with pleasant views of the hills. Comfortable bed, although the lack of air conditioning in the room was a slight concern. But I guess that’s part of the experience.
