We stayed 4 nights at the Heworth Court just outside the city walls at York. and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The rooms are clean and comfortable and well equipped. The staff are very, very helpful and nothing is too much trouble for them. We were made to feel at home and welcome.
The food is absolutely superb and worth visiting this place just for that. The Bar is friendly and the flower filled courtyard is ideal for relaxing in after a day of sight seeing.
The park & ride bus stop is only a couple of yards from the front door and the buses run every 10 mins. However it is only a 15 minute walk to the Minster and all that York has to offer. Be sure to visit the Railway Museum but be prepared for a long stay as there is so much to see there.
This guest house is more than a B&B but as it does not serve food every day it cannot be called an hotel. (Silly ruling)
This is one place that we can certainly recommend.
