A special day out with friends to the lovely Hellens Manor.
Hellens Manor, is a historic house located in the village of Much Marcle in Herefordshire, England. Its foundations date from the 12th century. It is one of the oldest dwellings in England, being composed primarily of Tudor, Jacobean and Georgian architecture.
On a tour of the house you start off in a very old hall and as you work your way through the rooms they change to more modern styles ending in a lovely drawing room with grand piano.
One of the best things about this place is that you are allowed to touch things, it is not all roped off as in a lot of places. You can actually lift a helmet, ring a bell, sit on a seat or even play the piano!
Get immersed in the history of this place as well as walk around the lovely gardens and admire the paintings in the garden.
Well worth a visit. In fact, take a picnic if the weather is good and enjoy it all!
