My husband and myself stayed at the Stormont Hotel in Belfast for one night after a coach tour of Southern Ireland, as we were taking the ferry from Belfast the next day. The hotel is very modern looking with lots of glass and chrome. Our room was a fine size and the bed was very comfy with a mattress which seemed to wrap itself around you in the night! There is a complimentary plastic duck in the bathroom which you can take home with you if you so wish. The evening meal was very tasty and plentiful but the breakfast buffet was the highlight as it was hot! So many hotel breakfast buffets are rather lukewarm or even cold. This is the first hotel I’ve stayed at where the breakfast foods are kept on hot plates under dome shaped covers. Maybe this is what makes the difference, I don’t really know, but what a difference. Other hotels, take note.
