We arrived at the Hapimag apartments after a rainy journey over the Yorkshire dales. The sun came out as we arrived. A friendly woman at reception got us into the apartment which was surprisingly large and homely, with a red comfy settee and red curtains and a huge bedroom down some stairs. I couldn't believe our luck. We had a lovely stroll and a drink at the nearby Burnside Hotel. Next morning they rang and asked us to move apartment as a regular customer had children who weren't happy sharing a bedroom. So we obliged, and it meant the rest of the day was spent settling in to the new more modern apartment, which was completely different. But by the next day I got over it, knowing we made another family happy, and a bottle of wine and some mints were sent to reception for us! We attended the welcome meeting and booked and paid for a Mountain goat trip visiting wild areas with a guide. It was very good, and worth the £40 each.We enjoyed the good weather, and our balcony was small but pleasant to sit out on and quiet. it was in a good location as in five minutes walk you were down by the lake, (Winermere), or at the many shops. One day we got on a boat to lakeside to visit the museum there. I would certainly recommend the Hapimag apartments.
