We've just returned from this hotel which is in a charming village and the hotel staff were very helpful. We were there for a conference in their function room and decided to stay the Friday night to relax afterwards – if only we'd been warned about the party, with live music, we would not have stayed the 2nd night. It wasn't 'horrible' music but SO LOUD and although we closed the window the beat STILL thumped through the room and the bed. It finally finished at midnight but at 1am we had cars outside our window with their engines running and people calling to each other! As you can tell I'm still angry (and tired) but IF you do go there – check for functions/parties first and we'd recommend the pub next door for food.
