Gunwharf Quays if right on the harbour front at Portsmouth. It is marketed as an outlet centre, but we have honestly never found the prices to be that cheap. There are lots of trendy fashion names such as Ted Baker, Fat Face etc, which is not to our taste. There is a Bose shop which is very good and also some outdoor clothing places which are good value. The special attraction about this shopping centre is it's location. It is slap bang in the middle of Portsmouth Harbour and Spinnaker Tower is within the shopping centre. It is an ideal place to shop if you have a companion who does not wish to shop, because they can go and sit and watch the activity in the harbour and enjoy the day as well as you. You can watch the Isle of Wight Ferries going past, Naval activity, Cross Channel Ferries arriving and departing. There are several eateries and bars down near the waterfront. The grounds of the centre are beautiful with modern flats converted from old naval buildings and several waterways running through. It is very attractive in it's own right. Well worth a visit.
