The Grichting-Badnerhof hotel is within easy walking distance of the two main public bathing facilities in Leukerbad; the Alpentherm and Burgerbad. You can take a shortcut and be at the Alpentherm in about one minute. And it's less than a five minute walk from the bus station, so perfect if you're taking public transit.
But besides the convenient location, it's a lovely hotel with great views of the mountains and the staff work hard to please. I'm from Canada and didn't bring the right electrical adaptor. The hotel owner told me one of her staff would find one for me by the end of my first day and she did. When I came back after skiing, the adapter was in the box with my room key.
Food is also wonderful. The husband half of the hotel ownership team is the head chef. He uses lots of local ingredients such as fresh trout from the Rhone in the valley below. Also great local wines from the same valley.
All in all, a memorable place to stay in Leukerbad.
