Greenbank is an old hotel with lots of charm. Positioned right on the seafront the views are so restful. Practically every seat in the dining room looks out at the boats gently bobbing on the glistening see. We were lucky that the weather was fine, but viewing a slightly angrier sea behind a picture window while leisurely enjoying a perfect breakfast would be equally enthralling. It may have a history, but our room was bright and modern with a beautiful bathroom, all spotless.
The staff here were so helpful and cheerful. And as it was at the beginning of the pandemic, when we were allowed to travel albeit with restrictions, they were on top of their game. Every seat and table cleaned and sanitised constantly. Parking is a bit of limited, they had put outside dining in part of it, however we always managed to find a spot.
The only downside is that it is a stroll uphill to the town, but the distance is not far.
We had a lovely stay and would visit again.
