I took my grandson (aged 4) to see Peter Pan at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton on Sunday. The show was superb but much more than that was, for me, the experience of watching my grandson’s face. His total absorption in the story, the awe and wonder at people really flying, and his open-mouthed amazed delight when a red car flew into the middle of the auditorium!!
I spent the following day being Wendy whilst he was Peter Pan – needless to say my 64 year old husband was Captain Hook!!
If you get the opportunity to take a young family member to the theatre it is a magical way to rediscover and experience childhood pleasures.
