This is a hotel that really delivers in every way from the moment you arrive at reception till your vacation is over. Very impressive interior with comfortable relaxing lounge areas, and the same can be said for the bedrooms, spotlessly clean, well furnished and pleasant. We had a sea view room with balcony which gave us a magnificent view of Vesuvius over the bay. The dining experience in this hotel is by far the best we have ever encountered on our very many vacations around Europe. Breakfast was an array of everything you could possibly have on a breakfast table, with a chef on hand to prepare eggs, crepes etc. however required. Evening meals were served beautifully and were a gastronomic delight…everything you would expect of great Italian food served in a top class hotel and a view to die for whilst enjoying it. In the week we were there they held a Banquet on 1 evening which was truly wonderful and yet again the selection of food on offer was amazing, and if it seems I am being " over the top " in my praise I can assure you it is justified. Hotel has lovely pool area, beautiful gardens to sit & relax in and a lift that takes you down to the bathing platforms, where there is a bar selling drinks and light lunches served by the very helpful & friendly Salvatore. The hotel is situated about a 10 minute walk into the centre of Sorrento and trains & ferries give easy access to the many sights in this area of Italy…. Pompeii, Herculaneum, Naples, Capri, Positano all of which are well worth visiting. I have no hesitation in rating this one of the best hotels we have encountered and will definitely return to it again to enjoy the experience.
