Ten years ago a group of 10 friends went to New York to celebrate five of us reaching 50. Every year since then we've had a holiday together. This year to celebrate 10 years on and our 60ths we wanted somewhere hot, sunny and special. We found this at the Grand Bahia all-inclusive hotel in the Mexican resort of Riviera Maya. The hotel could not really be faulted, lovely large rooms with balconies, very good room service and great decor! The food and drink was excellent with a large choice and variety of restaurants and refreshing cocktails at any time! The hotel also has a large number of pools as well as its own private beach! The sun shone, a breeze blew, and the sea sparkled, what was not to enjoy! It is often difficult to cater for a large group such as ours, but with excellent service and a very good choice of eateries, we were able to dine together without any problems, and in the evening chose from a variety of entertainment and bars. We would all thoroughly recommend this hotel and resort, especially at this time of year when the weather is just right.
