We have just been on the French River cruise to Rouen and Honfleur. It was a short five nights but because we kept busy it did seem a lot longer. We went over the very hot weekend so were very lucky with the weather and although we do not like hot hot the air conditioning and comfortable seating on the ship were perfect. The sail down the Seine was very picturesque lovely houses and chateaus along the way.
This was the first time that we had done the overnights in port which did seem a bit odd but that weekend even the sea was the same as the Seine. Please first time cruisers be aware that it is not always that calm. We saw an excellent french singer who told the story of Edith Piaf and also a local to us (Kent) comedian who was funny and clever.
The food was excellent with plenty of choice, we had very good table companions so all in all an excellent cruise.
