It’s always nice to get a feel for the past, what made a place what it is today. This museum provides a good insight into Fraserburgh’s past. Fishing, lifeboats, boat building, transport.
Other themes you don’t expect; Japan, Antarctica, Africa. All have interesting interpretive panels and information.
Run by volunteers from the Fraserburgh Heritage Society Ltd, they call themselves a ‘Hands on Family Friendly Museum’. The displays are interesting with activities for children. The route round the exhibits is mostly gentle slopes.
