We were well looked after from the moment we arrived. We arrived rather wet after a days walking, and we were served with a cup of tea while our wet things were taken away to be dried, including our boots which were also brushed clean. Our bags had already been taken to our room, which was en-suite room with clean linen and a fresh rose in a vase each day. The whole place was clean and freshly decorated. There was a friendly atmosphere throughout our stay. They provided good breakfasts and good quality 'comfort food' meals at the end of the day. Sandwiches were prepared for us, to order. There was also a cosy lounge with a log burner and a bar serving 4 real ales ! They also provided a lift if required, from and to a place where the last stage of the Pennine Way could be split into 2 parts. Overall, Forest View is a great find, and at very reasonable prices.
