Reasons for trip

Take a boat trip from Seahouses to the Farne Islands at nesting time. Landing on Inner Farne (National Trust) is spectacular, with close encounters with nesting terns, cormorants and puffins. There are baby birds incredibly close to the paths, though you dont see the baby puffins which are underground. A hat or hood is a good idea as the terns will peck your head and deposit droppings on your head!

En route you travel around the other islands and see the seals lolling about and thousands of seabirds. Wonderful.
