Thank you to Silver Travel Advisor for selecting me as the winner for the 7-night Eurocamp Getaway Winner. We weren’t able to use the trip in the summer of 2018 and Eurocamp were gracious enough to extend our usage window to the Spring/early summer of 2019!
After significant research we chose to stay at the Port de Limeuil. It was the perfect park for us. It doesn’t have a huge pool so perfect for people of our age group that want to sun bathe in relative peace and quiet. The park is right at the intersection of the Dordogne and Vizier rivers so the surrounding landscape is breathtaking. The little town of Port de Limeuil is pretty to look at from the campsite and there is a tiny beach where its possible to dip into the river.
We had a terrific time; renting Kayaks from the facility next to the campsite and driving to numerous small villages, markets and going on hikes every day. We had a particularly great hike around Albussac that I recommend. Also, the Castle Begnac is really worth a visit.
Our accommodation was a three bed classic mobile. It was very clean and comfortable and more than suitable for cooking. The park was very well maintained and Peter the park attendant very friendly and more than helpful.
We absolutely loved our vacation and definitely would do a Eurocamp again. Thank you for the opportunity!
