This visit to Turkey as part of Thomson cruise was well worth the day excursion to Virgin Mary's Church followed by trip to Ephesus site which has the most restored ruins of any site I have seen. The few hours we spent were not really long enough and due to the area covered you probably need two days there to see it all at a reasonable rate. Access is not too bad but care is needed as the stone roads can be uneven and slippy. But overall it is worth the visit to see such a large area of ruins.
