We booked the apartment via Booking.com. It is a 2 bedroomed apartment over the supermarket in the centre of Elounda. It has a spacious balcony overlooking the square but more importantly with beautiful and uninterrupted views of the sea and Spinalonga island. The apartment itself is owned by Manos who is friendly and very helpful. It is newly renovated with air con and kept spotlessly clean.
It was not at all noisy as the supermarket does not stay open late and although Elounda is full of lovely restaurants it is does not have nightclubs. We loved getting ready for a night out whilst being able to people watch from the balcony and knowing that we hadn’t far to walk home. It also felt very safe.
A plus is fresh bread each morning from downstairs. And of course Elounda itself is beautiful with everything you need including a beach, walks along the causeway, restaurants and nearby swimming pools with bars where you are welcome.
