Reasons for trip

“El Delirio”:http://www.restaurantemexicanogranada.com was near our “hotel”:http://www.silvertraveladvisor.com/review/accommodation/158811-review-hotel-corona-de-granada (in fact on the same street although across a busy road) and although there were high stools and tables outside, we went inside to what at 8pm was a relatively quiet restaurant.

There were all the usual Mexican favourites on the menu. We ordered a jug of sangria and shared a mixed meat fajita which came with salsa, guacamole and sour cream: it was plenty for two and very good, but we decided we could manage a pudding and chose a chocolate brownie with ice cream and a second jug of sangria (excellent value at €8.50).

We were relatively modest in food compared to the huge platters that kept coming out to a family of four nearby. The place really busied up during the night with lots of people coming in to have drinks and snacks at the high tables towards the back of the restaurant and also in the main restaurant. There were only two young girls serving the entire restaurant (including the outdoor area) and although were run ragged trying to keep everyone happy they never stopped smiling. The bill came €33.35 (credit cards are taken).
