Reasons for trip

Personal / family celebration

This recently- refurbished hotel has re-opened as a family owned and run hotel. Adequate parking and only a few-minutes walk to the high street. Sandy beach two minutes walk in the other direction – beside the entrance road to one of Dunbar’s golf courses. There’s a variety of rooms at different prices and our (on offer) £65.00 ‘superior’ room – with a glimpse of the sea and including breakfast – was a very good deal. The room itself has been very well decorated and fitted-out, with a good-size double bed, two comfortable club chairs by the bay window (and a desk with its own chair) as well as plentiful electric sockets (so no problem charging-up a variety of devices if required!). Large bathroom with over-bath shower (and the bath is full sized, so no need to ‘bend zee knees’ … We were the only people for breakfast at this very quiet time but, despite that, we had a full selection of fruit juice, cereals, pastries, cold meats & cheese; full cooked breakfast, plus some hotel specials (eg. Smoked salmon with scrambled egg). I they can keep this price differential over the other similarly-classed hotels in town then they should expect good trade!
