As members of the Camping and Caravanning Club we were keen to explore some areas of Scotland we had not previously visited, while my daughter is living at Edinburgh.
We Chose the Dunbar Clubsite because we had seen great reviews, also as the East Coast is often sunnier than other areas.
Extremely friendly welcome by staff, we were given a choice of pitch and chose one on top of site with fantastic views. A member of staff guided us to the position, then another one positioned our caravan with a tractor, so we could have the best view.
It did get very windy in early September, so we could not put our awning up. But the area was wonderful. A beautiful beach nearby for dog walks, as well as a salt marsh our Rosie loved to explore.
My daughter suggested Tantallon Castle, beautiful position, great view to Bass Rock.
We also visited the Scottish Seabird Centre at North Berwick, sadly due to the windy conditions they were not running their boat trips to Bass Rock while we were there.
North Berwick is a lovely little town with fascinating little shops, well worth a visit.
The Dunbar Campsite has excellent facilities for disabled visitors.
