My husband and myself were on a coach tour to Eire and stayed for one night in the Dunadry Hotel after disembarking the ferry from Scotland. The hotel is sympathetically converted from a linen mill. Our room was well decorated, the bed was comfortable and the en suite facilities perfectly fine. The buffet breakfast was typical of its kind in most hotels but it was the meal we had the previous evening which was the highlight of our stay. I started with soup which was hot and tasty, then had the roast lamb which was absolutely delicious and plentiful and dessert was lemon tart which was very tart! (but absolutely delicious). Most hotels I find are a bit mean with their vegetables for the main course but not the Dunadry. Each table was given plates from which the guests could help themselves. Our table had one large plate laden with roast and mashed potatoes and another plate with a large selection of other vegetables. All in all, the meal was worth the visit alone.
