Reasons for trip

Culture / Sightseeing

We needed somewhere to stay after visiting Safari Zoo last month(December) and I looked online and this one had really good reviews. It was also only costing £60 for a luxury king size room and breakfast. It was two minutes walk from the shops, the parking was across the road however, but at least it was secure. The receptionist was a lovely local girl, and very friendly and informative. We noted the comfortable modern surroundings and Christmas decorations, before heading up in the lift to see our room. Bed enormous and comfy, flat screen tv and settee too, as well as coffee and tea making facilities. The bathroom was gorgeous, ultra modern, toiletries and fluffy towels and warmth, which you don’t always get. My husband wanted a Thai meal so off we went down the street to the Thai restaurant in the lovely festive street in Barrow in Furness. Compared to our home town it was attractive, in Barrow in Furness, good shops and full of local people. It felt like stepping back in time. Our room was very warm when we got back as we had put the heating on too high as it was bitterly cold outside so we turned it down on the wall. Breakfast was good, served in the bar, and I could only manage some toast and cereals and coffee but my husband had a cooked breakfast which was cooked to perfection. If you book direct you get money off vouchers to spend on food in the bar, we will be back!!
