Devil’s Bridge is a tourist attraction on the edge of the Cambrian Mountains a 12 miles steam train ride from the seaside town of Aberystwyth. The waterfalls and wooded valley have attracted visitors since the 18th century and caused the poet William Wordsworth to write the “Torrent at the Devil’s Bridge”. Today, the falls provide as backdrop to a trail which winds its way through the Rheidol Gorge. The trail itself is not suitable for those less mobile of us however they can sit at Hafod Hotel which is a lovely spot for a tea and a piece of cake while watching the other visitors who are attracted to the outstanding beauty of the area.
