First of all I must say the owners of this property are one of the nicest couples I have encountered in all my travels around the globe. My wife was feeling unwell and the treatment we received was outstanding including a candlelit special meal on the balcony that the owners refused to let us pay for. The hotel itself is a rustic paradise in a lovely country location very handy for the ostrich farms and Cango Caves. Previously a farm, some of the outbuildings are been lovingly turned into little cottages. Ours was a little dark inside but I guess that’s all part of the charm. Nice comfortable bed, period furniture and excellent bathroom with a big walk in shower and corner spa bath.
We had a delightful ostrich steak one night in the restaurant and to show what a magical place this is, we bumped into an old colleague we hadn’t seen for over 20 years.
