We walked on those Cobbles! As the old set is open for 6 months or so we decided to visit whilst in Manchester. Arriving at the studio you check in and get the guest pass which you keep. We then headed to the café by the studio entrance and had coffee outside in the gardens, it was lovely as it was a sunny day, rare for Manchester in May. There are also toilets outside, these are portaloo type things so go in the Café toilets if possible as there are none on the way around. The first part of the tour goes around the sets, they don't like people taking photos, to be fair, there is no reason why not apart from the fact they try and sell you a picture behind the Rovers bar. There are props and costumes on display as you go around and it is all quite interesting, if anything, this part was too short. After that you go out onto the street and have a look around, you cant go inside any of the buildings unfortunately but its great for photo opportunities, there is also a gift shop at the far end selling the usual Tat. All in all a good experience.
