If you are looking for something special as a treat or surprise for someone then Coombe Abbey is just perfect. We have visited for lunch or dinner many times ,but we have also stayed overnight twice. Firstly the dinning room at night is so pretty and magical and the food is excellent. The bedrooms are beautiful and all individual. You will not be dissappointed. We stayed for my Mothers 75th Birthday and also for my sons 30th birthday ( and i am in my 50’s) so are age ranges were very different. Even my sons liked the old feel to the rooms. It is pure luxury and magical. One of my sons had a room with the bathroom hidden behind a bookcase with he thought was so great he told all his friends on facebook about it. The beds and bathrooms are all individual and luxurious. The grounds are beautiful and provide a lovely place to walk and take photos. The hotel interior is very old and dark but at the same time it is very historical and beautiful. The food is lovely and we could not fault the service. This place is a must for that special birthday or occasion.
